Derby goal specialist Danny Haynes was once again the hero as the Blues deservedly recorded their first home win over Norwich since 1998. In the first half the Canaries went ahead through Luke Chadwick, but Town equalised via Sylvain Legwinski, before late sub Haynes netted twice.

Boss Jim Magilton is sweating on the fitness of striker Billy Clarke as they Blues go into their third game in six days at Burnley on Saturday. Clarke has a knee problem and looks likely to be replaced by either Danny Haynes or Gary Roberts.

Sylvain Legwinski's third goal in as many games in the first minute helped the Blues to a 1-1 draw at Plymouth. Jim Magilton's side were rarely at their best and ended with game with 10 men as Fabian Wilnis became the first player to receive three red cards while playing for Town.

Billy Clarke and Matt Richards scored the goals as Town drew 2-2 with Brechin City at Glebe Park in a game to celebrate the Scottish side's centenary. Clarke put the Blues in front but the home side came back to go ahead with two goals before the break, only for Richards to score a late equaliser.
